Established in June 2013. Financed by Zhenfund angel fund in October, RED App went online in December. After a few rounds of financing and it became successful, it became the 4th most downloaded App on 6th June 2015 and that exceeded Wechat. During the sales on 27th-28th Nov, “RED Friday”, it was the most downloaded App for 2 days.
RED as a content and social media sharing platforms, there are 200 millions young active users and its traffic is still continuous expanding.
According to the RED data in 2019, out of the 200 millions active users, over 80% are female, 60% are from the 1st and 2nd tier cities, 70% are born after 1990s. This eCommerce platform aimed at career women in the metropolitans with high end oversea products.
Currently, RED app creates a few billions content exposures daily. The contents included fashion, skincare, make-up, food, travel, movies, reading and fitness etc, different lifestyles topics.
Videos, pictures and blogs can be posted in RED.
Using RED KOLs/Influencers can be effective to market oversea products.
